I think that just about sums it up, but won't know until we have it on track, it may just fall flat on its heavy nose.

 I do hope I won't be passing any Caymans or 911s on track for their sake

Now about that resale value when the time to sell comes...

911 resale is really not great, the only Porsche's that seem to preserve value, and sometimes increase, are the GT versions.

Who cares about a few seconds when you've got enough torque to make days shorter.

Right on, right on!

I havent driven the M4 but spent a bit of time in the new M3 last weekend. Couldnt get excited about it. No contest in my book. I spent a bit of time in a Cayman GTS yesterday. I feel it deserves all of the acclaim it is getting.

The M4 shouldn't be any different I think. Although Cayman is a great platform, I think the 911 is significantly better. That said, I just need to get away from Porsche for few years, change is a good thing, new things to learn and new challenges ;)

M4 looks like an excellent car - congrats! Not as pure a sports car as a 911 or Cayman, but the multi-functionality and value is impressive, and looks like they've done a lot of things with brakes, cooling, etc. to make it more trackworthy than the previous generation.
