That is an impressive screen capture from a video. The clarity is incredible.

I was wondering what you and the fam were doing. I also had half a mind to check out the race; I was driving all over NoVA (a) out for a drive with friends then (b) doing reconnaissance on potential venues.

UN. BE. LIEV. A. BLE. I did a doubletake -- I didn't think anything was wrong; a deer on the roof of a LeMons car is perfectly normal!

And congrats to the team, Tony. Nice job.

That it a FANTASTIC pic. At first I thought it was just part of the cars decoration until I read your text.

+1, thought, damn that's a nice deer decoy mounted on the car.

Thanks for the hospitality Tony! I caught up with the course worker with the rx7 story the next day and we both agreed, no more ouzo on an empty stomach. Woah that stuff was strong.

The entire event was a hoot, great track, great cars, and great people.

I think I saw Collin as well, but the entire drive back was a bit of a drowsy blur :/

Ruffy and I were two of the six "Team Judge Phil" drivers. We finished 18th overall, IMHO not bad for an inexperienced team with a non-cheatie 325e, but more importantly we had an absolute blast!

The car had already run Chumpcar at Watkins Glen, but we put in a staggering amount of work preparing for Lemons. The result was almost too nice for Lemons. Our car was an homage to Judge Phil (head scrutineer and BS inspector), with his likeness on the hood and a "JudgeTV" satellite dish supported by giant gavels for rear aero. Hey, it's Lemons.

My hood got a mention on the Car and Driver blog (Judge Phil writes under the pseudonym Murilee Martin):

This was my first time doing wheel-to-wheel since I parked my F-Production Spridget sixteen years ago, and was long overdue. :)
