Not a tanner faust fan. I think he host(ed) some bad "supercar" show I saw on speed or someother bad channel.
I do enjoy the brit version and hope it doesn't "jump the shark" anytime soon. The best are when those 3 clowns when presented with a challenge. |
I think the biggest problem I have with the show (based on my impressions during the preview) is that I kept picturing (or hearing) the three Brits doing everything that these guys were doing. It seems to me that they are trying too hard to be like the original version and that triggers my "wannabe" reflex. I might very well enjoy the show had I never known the original one existed, but I get the feeling that I'll be comparing this one to the original. They'll have to form their own identity to get the fans of the original one to watch... but will they be able to do that and still be Top Gear?
I hope it does well and will give it a couple of episodes to see if they can develop a chemistry but I'm not holding my breath. BB. |

Tony's rendition is much better than the History Channel one.
On that, WTF? The snippets on the test track looked good, but the challenge was horrible. Tanner is not very good as a host. And who was doing wardrobe that day? Really? Two guys with basically the same shirt! The production value of that segment was insanely low. TG wouldn't do anything that bad. It's like they had two cameras, and just set them on tripods for the day. Move around! |

Service fees. That's why I was in Black for 8 years. |
