might be an optical illusion, but it looks like his starboard flaps are further down than his port flaps. that would make control more difficult. none of the pics show much in the way of aileron

Also difficult to tell if he is trying to use left rudder. Ailerons are difficult to see exactly how much.

Seriously, you think he saw the other plane at the last minute, tried to avoid it and stalled?

I hear he'll keep an eye out for other planes from now on.
