God, I hope that was on day one when I was learning the track or day 2 when I was having issues.

Hi Brian, I had the same problem on my 993 and we determined there was an imperfection local to the area in which it broke. Something like a deep nick or gouge in the metal. Or, perhaps it has a bad temper to the material.

Man, are you SMOOTH! I'm not a fan of crossing the arms when turning, so some of those turns are at the limit and might qualify for a shuffle, but your driving looks great (and fast).

yep, that was a v1 bar(might have been a prototype). we have since got the issue remedied but we did see it on a few occurances, very limited though, as bman stated.... videos look good mr. walsh, Mike told me you were giving the interseries cars a hard time :)

Thanks for the input! Yeah, I think it was tolerance issue with either the tempering or wall thickness.

Thanks for the compliment Peter! I used to shuffle a lot, so this is a big change for me. Hope to see you in the race car at the next event!

Not me! I asked Dr J to drive my car for a few laps and he was running tight with one of the interseries cars. Not bad, considering I was in the car too.

Casey, can you look in your receipts and see if I got one of these. I bought the bar in March or April 2009. The purchase was made through ASG[AutoSportSystemsGroup} and installed by them. Thanks.

Great driving, that is fast!!!! I got a dumb question is this a stock car?? What about tires ?? My instructor also comment about me not shuffle in mid ohio I wonder what is everyone opinion on it??

Landjet 05-12-2010 06:26 PM

My understanding is that shuffle steering is better than having your hands crossed over too far, otherwise not.

X2, good rule is think about what you would have to do to make a last correction. If you are out of "reach" then shuffle, otherwise why??? Just makes your hands busy.
