Just joined and was going to ask the same question...good 914 mechanic in Maryland, but I would like to know if there's anybody closer to Baltimore. Matt DeMaria sounds great except for the distance. Anybody near to Baltimore?

I have gone to a good shop in Gaitherburg in the past, but I am looking for something closer, esp since I have a bad wheel berring. I imagine the short issue could be taken care of by a good auto-electric shop.

Any ideas, suggestions?

Thanks

You might post the question on 914world.com

Did...figured a local group like this would be a better source for local resources.

I've use GT Performance in Edgewood, Md. for my 914. Genady runs a good shop and I am very satisfied with the service, advice and prices. You never know who you're going to run into at his shop.

Ralph Simmers at Ralph's Auto Service in Reisterstown, MD (410) 526-2500.

He's the man with 40yrs. experience on Porsche. Everything from 356's to 996. Great, honest guy.

Good luck!

Thanks. Ever heard of Bill Brill...Chesapeake Automotive Enterprises? Used to be in Reisterstwon and moved out to Klan County. Not sure if he's still wrenching.

Nice job of baiting! B-more is kind of far for most here. Did you try the Chesapeake web site for a list of “sponsors?”

If you're looking for some replacement gauges, these are all in great working condition:
