I like it! Your car, your choice. Mine are mostly "brake dust and pitting" (kind-of-sort-of-black)

Whoa - I thought for a second I was back in DR's "How's your Feces?" post. That would be NASTY!

Finally got around to pics with the wheels on. Comments welcomed, but not necessarily heeded.
Remember, we're talking 15" phone dials here. For something to be a travesty, it has to start out promising.

lolz.

Even as a gold wheel fan, I don't like those. but like you said, tough to make 15" phones look good anyway.

thanks for the tip on the plastic. just saved me a ton of time repainting my boxster dyno wheels. like your phones, it will be tough to make them worse. i am going black with a silver lip.

There is a clear plastic product that comes in rolls that is used to protect carpets when painting. 24" x 50' per roll. It sticks to anything but pulls off clean. It's about as sticky as masking tape. I was able to mask off my tires in literally 2 minutes. No tape, no paper. Just pull the sheet over the tire, press it down, and use a razor to trim out the part to be painted.

I found a roll of this in the flooring section at Lowes today. I used the process myself an knocked out a set of track wheels today with the tires still on. Came out great...well, for track wheels.

I guess I could use this same process to spruce up my old wheels at the beginning often season. Assuming I care.
