X2. To make a big fuss of a green group driver with busy hands at the Shen is a little unfair.

For Christ's sake, guys, you don't always need to criticize. His hands were sliding on the wheel with an otherwise very nice drive. I was just showing him how hands can be planted on the wheel during straights and turns. I did point out that there's not a lot of hard steering at the Glen, but he can still get the idea (and see how little extra movement is made by a consistently winning driver).

We missed you this weekend Dr K. ;)

Nice video -- very smooth. Interesting how wide his elbows are -- i.e., not sure if he'd fit in a formula car very well! :P Seriously though, it's neat seeing how gracefully was able to correct the power oversteer issues he had from time to time.

Out of curiosity, were those two big cracks on his windshield? I didn't know you could race with cracks that large, and in the path of the wipers.

Your hands are a little busy on the steering wheel. You probably should move them around less on the wheel, and when you do shuffle, be more committed to it.

Yeah, no $hit. Butt that's our Dr. K!

I didn't take Dr. K's comments as overly critical. I think I'm doing pretty well in my 924S, but I know I still have plenty of room for improvment. It's too bad Collin wasn't in my run group; I was looking forward to getting some passing signals from him ;)

If only I could get those hamsters under the hood to spin the wheel a little faster on the straights!

Looking forward to Summit Point Main in July.

maybe if you explained why hands that "are a little busy" detract from "an otherwise very nice drive" it would seem less like mere criticism and more like helpful advice or instruction. a good teacher does not simply say do this and don't do that. a good teacher explains why so that the student can learn intelligently and with full awareness.

Mark's car is actually a 924...S. Imagine a 928. Then remove about 2000 lbs. Remove half of the engine. Then remove the fender flairs. Add a manual transmission. Then remove 4000ft-lbs of torque and 3000hp.

Ha! We'll see who's getting whom in July! If I can even go due to my damn tires.

Mark, what tires are you running? I'm getting more and more concerned that the "slice" in my ancient Victoracers is life-ending. Thinking about the RA-1's; haven't run them before. Unfortunately the Nitto's aren't available in my size, I don't think (245/45/16 and 225/50/16).

Also, Tim (in the black 'fo-fo): it was great meeting you and running with you this weekend as well. What a blast! If you ever need a wrenching buddy for your new track car, let me know.
