LOL Just think, with the new headers and HP you'll now only be 24 seconds behind the leaders(Evan) instead of 27 seconds:shock: |
I'm 50/50. Work is beyond insane right now. If I go I'll be leaving at midnight on Thursday and won't be worth a crap on Friday. We'll see....
Btw, I have Scargo headers but they were "only" around $1,200. They sell cheaper non-US made versions now.....which I was told by them will run about 5-10 less rwhp than the hand made ones. |

Packed up the car, truck, and trailer last night. Still need to change brake pads but I should have time to do that Thursday after I arrive. Too busy at work to knock that out before tomorrow.

Ya'll be safe down there! :D
Would rather not be reading any more "rollover" and "money shift threads". |
I'd be happy to be only 27 seconds behind Evan at the end of the race. That's only 1-1/2 seconds/lap slower than he is. Unfortunately, I'm slower than that. And just as unfortunately, Frank is too!

See you guys Saturday drive safe tomorrow

Well, I'm home! My car continued to have the "miss" in the 5000-6000 RPM range, actually worsening since Watkins Glen. Have found lots of small things, but none has fixed this problem (not all these problems were found by me):
Old wires (replaced) Old rotor and cap (replaced) Spark plugs replaced just for completeness Leak in fuel pressure regulator (leaking fuel into vacuum line) (replaced) 2 injectors leaking fuel, not working correctly (all injectors replaced with new) Fuel filter replaced. At track: data logger disconnected (no help) questionable wiring on 4-pin connector DME harness to engine (re-soldered, twice) coil? Ran with known good from Intersport (no help) engine temperature sensor connector not as tight as we'd like - zip-tied together (no help) I went out 4 times. Got 1 lap at speed the first time, but the miss came up in the first lap each other time and I came in. It actually got worse the 3rd time (known good coil and re-soldering the connector the first time). Put my coil back in and resoldered the connector again, and it was back to more typical (got almost a lap before the miss started). Interestingly, while it's hard to accelerate with this, if I can get the revs up to about 6000, it will get better for [initially a minute, but at VIR only 20 seconds or less before the miss starts again]. Any suggestions appreciated. I've been told my DME is fine (I thought of that, and will likely try a loaner if we can't find another solution). |
