Weather was absolutely perfect! Great weekend with good vibes all around. Only drove two red/black session all weekend (one with a passenger) but seemed like I was on track constantly. :D Rode with several white drivers, took a blue stu and my stu for rides. I had a blast!
Congrats to those that got promoted! Quote:

Hopefully you've got video of your save before the bridge straight. Two words of advice Watkins Glen |

As for video, I'll try to go through it tonight. Remember how I mentioned my camera wouldn't record reliably? I think the track was bumpy enough that the camera would shut itself off...So in other words I was only capturing few-minute long segments of each run. Hopefully something exciting is in the video. |

Wonderful photos, but if you have THAT MANY perhaps you should post them on Shutterfly and submit a link...

Great photos! Liked that second-to-last batch.
Had a chance to go through my video from this weekend. Unfortunately, due to the supremely good weather, my poor ol' cybershot couldn't handle the contrast well (as you can see). Also unfortunate, the bouncing and shaking around (mostly from my homemade mount) kept causing my camera to auto-shutoff, meaning I was never able to get any video of the second half of each session, when my best laps tended to happen. Brian -- I didn't get our save coming onto the Bridge Straight, but this video has a little bobble where I got power oversteer exiting the corner towards the beginning (I had just come thru the hot pits to turn my camera back on). Two primary things I was focusing on during my solo runs: 1) smoothness on turn-in & transitioning, and 2) opening the wheel during power delivery at corner exit (remember: turbo!). As you can see in this video, I wasn't awesome. My car has a manual steering rack, which has really forced me to work on my smoothness. Love how communicative it is, but it does tend to fight back. Coming out of the corkscrew I was also mucking with when I wanted to shift into 3rd. I love going through video like this though -- it really helps with perspective. For example, I feel I could've been on the power sooner as I was exiting the Karussel. I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts on the video (no need to point out the crappy quality...a GoPro is on its way...). Driving position? Observations about bad habits (for example, when I encounter significantly slower traffic, I have a nasty tendency to just sit back and relax, rather than concentrating on the line, smoothness, etc.)?
