It was a good one, this season is looking to be as good as last...figures we're getting real good racing right before a major rule change.

I enjoyed the race too. Seems lots of racing throughout the pack. Wish Kimi finished one spot higher. Seems Vettels robbing of Weber is paying off in the points department though isn't it!

Not sure how much merit there was, but the announcers were mentioning that Kimi might be on the move if Lotus doesn't come up with some more money and the Weber seat at Redbull was bantered about as a possible next stop.

Boy wouldn't that be something: Kimi and Vettel at RB. Sure would make things tough for the competition.

Really surprised to have such a good race at Bahrain. Very bummed about Mercedes, I'm really rooting for them this season. They desperately need to get their tire deg under control.

Cool-looking track proposed in Russia but at first glance it appears that there are a lot of 90-degree turns. Why not just shape it like a sickle-hammer?

Also kudos to Force India! Great to see them becoming one of the big(ish) boys!

Maybe Force India 2013 = Sauber of 2012 as "The best of the rest"?

I think that F1 is too contrived. It is easy to get excited seeing a few laps of wheel to wheel based on the precessions of the few years ago, but the tires really do not last if pushed, as evident by Button having to make an unscheduled stop after a couple of laps of fighting Perez, and Alonso's going off after getting by Perez, but not being able to push to get away from DRS use by Perez.

Unfortunately, aero has too much influence in F1 now which is why RB has dominated the last 3 years by having the best aero guy on the grid.

The limitations of the tires, fuel loads, KERS, and DRS have made for hugely interesting races. Sure Red Bull is the aero king, but the others are closing and Vettle certainly has not had it all his way. Everyone has the same stuff to deal with and we are seeing some amazing situations caused by differing strategies. That is way better than the race being largely decided after the 1st corner. Also, I think having so may world champions with a real chance at hitting the podium each weekend is fantastic.

As for }{'s pic, I like one commentators quote, "Button and Alonso should be the only two allowed to win."

^^ THIS. F1 is delivering some phenomenal racing with the current rules. Granted Pirelli bungled the soft tire compound for Bahrain which was a true clusterfuch, but despite that it was still a great race. China was even better. Seeing four world champion driver battle it out is great stuff, and RB/Vettel is definitely beatable in this year's field. Lotus and Kimi are coming. Personally I hope McLaren's upgrades coming for Spain will lift Button into contention as well.

}{arlequin 04-24-2013 02:24 PM

I'm not a fan of the multiple compounds. make 1 tire. have everyone use it for the entire season.

the end.
