Mihnea,
+1 on the air scoop which I used, then converted to electric. After getting 0 nibbles on my Cayman I am giving it to my son so he can enjoy the mods and we can work on it together. He is already in contact with Flat Six about their 2.7 to 3.5 engine conversion.....

Thanks for the tip on the Redline CV grease.

Rob

That's a great pic. Looks like a launch tube!

Ha ha, it sure does. It certainly feels like a launch tube when you're trying to work around the car.

Today Ion and I got the car aligned. A big thanks to Vranko for stopping by yesterday to help inspect the car for Zone 2!

SmartStrings system being set up.

Any chance you guys might bring that string setup to VIR? I just replaced my rear toe links and would like to double check the toe before hitting the (wet) tarmack Friday....

I can bring everything but the ramps, which take up a lot of space. The rest of the setup disassembles well.

Is the car level when you take measurements?

Camber yes - it must be. Toe no. I have the axle that I am currently working on, on ramps. I did measure toe both level and with one axle elevated and found no noticeable difference with my measurement tools. No argument that having the car level at all times is the most accurate way. I will work on that once I own a garage...

Thanks! I'll give it a try without ramps as I just have to check the toe setting. I have an 06 Cayman S in guards red with black wheels as well so I'm sure we"ll spot each other. I'll PM you as well.
