Eli

Carolina region PCA is hosting a DE at VIR December 2nd through 5th. The cost for all 3 days is $345 or $220 for Saturday and Sunday only. Friday is a day for solo drivers with only 2-3 run groups meaning we get almost 4 hours of track time :). I sent my application in this morning.

Send in the paperwork. It's filling up fast according to their DE chair. Can always cancel later....

Passed over for 11/5 at SP so I filled out the application, put the check in an envelope, stamped it and have it poised to drop in the mail for Sat/Sunday Dec 3-4. Who else is going? Where do we stay? Don't know beans about VIR but from what I have heard it will scare the pi$$ out of me. Now to decide to tow or not to tow? Taking ARF, not the 928.

John, I'm going. Haven't decided on a place to stay yet. Looking to see who else is coming etc....

John:

Now to decide to tow or not to tow?

See my response to your other thread [avoid 29 if towing heavy].

I stay at the Sleep in next to Sir Roberts(?). Decent price for decent hotel, not in town exactly and closer to the track. Have a PCA discount some times [othertimes is an HSr or SVRA one ;-)].

Tow. Please. Some of us have cars that might break and we might have to beg you to tow us back instead. ;)

Just joking . . . sorta

Yes they were! The combination of the Glen, too many early mornings, and a long pull back home will do that. Brain disconnect.

maybe a 911 track car wouldn't have been such a bad idea..... ;)

(in the end, the "reliability" seems the same)

Anyone else registered for this? Latest I heard it was John (OldTee), Cliff (Matthew), myself. You can register on their site http://www.carolinas-pca.com/.

Have fun guys, wish I could go. VIR is my favorite track so far.

My track season is over. My valve covers are leaking like crazy, my rear tires are a few laps from being corded, the spherical bearings in the front monoballs are shot and making a lot of noise, etc. Have a great time and take lots of pics.

I hope it rains the whole time you bastards!!!

I got an e-mail from the DE head. He said that he seriously doubts that I will get in since there are 25 people in front of me, and most of those are in the instructed groups, but he promised he would contact me if it started getting close.

}{arlequin

todd,
where did you leave your instructor hat??? i could've sworn you had one....
you could pretend you're an instructor ;)

they've got too many beemers, miatas, and corvettes in there....

Hmmm... only 7 people on the waitlist for Friday. Crossing fingers. $125 = 4 hours of track time on Friday. Good times.

I'm confirmed :)

Now to find a room-mate !

}{arlequin

it's almost a month away.... plenty of time for people to succumb to their wives' demands.... i've got faith

I'm waitlisted, and overnighted the check today. Seems your place in the waitlist is determined by when they get your check. Only 8 people in the waitlist have sent in checks.

mroberts
11-09-2005, 09:08 AM
Mmm ... subtle.

Well, I still need a room-mate, if anyone is interested in sharing a hotel down there.

OldTee
11-09-2005, 12:57 PM
Oh so few are going. After SP SC I am ready. Jase got into Sleep Inn, thanks. Mr. Roberts, no thanks, re: room=mate you are missing two appendeges and a socket! Now to prep ARF with an Oil change, filter, Pagids, valve adj and a good inspection. Working this SAT after 11AM if anybody wants to drop by.

I have hook and hammer visions dancing in my sleep!
