Hi there,
need to get my dash recovered, but don't really want to subject it to possible damage via shipping to the west coast (Autos International).
I know we have some shops in this area, but has any Dorki had any experience with a shop in this area that I could hand-carry the dash to?
thanks
Kevin
Dash is for a 66

Take it Mr Lim at Lims on Tyco Raod in Tysons Corner. A true craftsman, and a friend to the resto community.

Mr. Lim has sold the business. I made an appointment last week for some carpet work. When I got in there, Mr. Lim was there, but he said that he sold it about 6 months ago and he was just in to help out. The new owner was out sick and he was unable to do my work.
Rather than wait, I took my car to Sure-fit in Arllington, near my home. Car's still there. I'll let you know how it turns out. They do a lot of dealer work there, I know, and occasionally I see a cool car there.
I hope Lim's continues to be the place to go. But be advised of the changes.

Seatco in Bailey's Crossroads is pretty good.

Seatco also gets targa top redos farmed out to them from a lot of loacl P-car shops. Not cheap if I remember the quote. BUT, I hear the job is done right.
Sorry to hear Mr, Lim is no longer the owner.

Seatco recovered my Targa top about 7 years ago, and the price was a bit lower than I anticipated. About $225 at the time.

I braught my sisters convertable to lims two weeks ago and they did an excelent job of fixing her convertable top. Not sure if it was Mr. Lim who did the work but it was top notch.

This is what I have on the old Rolodex. I'm not sure if it is still current. You can always check 411 I guess.

Yeah that adress is correct however the shop is a little hard to find becasue it is behind the main building that you acess via a small side path aloung the side of the building.

I tried "Lim's" a couple months ago, I wanted a couple of panels replaced on a Sparco. He gave me a decent price so I left it, when I got back to get it the price had multiplied, he charged me $240 to change two shoulder panels and redo the seat bottom cushion which sells for $90 new. I had told him that if there was any change to the price to call me as the seat wasnt worth anymore than $100 to fix. He didnt really seem to care, I felt & was ripped off as it looked like an amateur job with wrinkles and folds in the seam. Maybe it was better when Mr Lim actually ran the business, I will never go back and complained to the BBB which was even more aggravanting
