Does anyone have another engine stand/yoke? I know Jim has one, but it's tied up. I'd like it for next weekend's engine drop. (I may not need it, but would like to have it on hand while I have a bunch of muscle on hand to mount the engine.)

I can pick up if you're not coming to the drop.

Thanks
Steve

Sorry, mine are in use. I did see that HF had a #1000 stand for $30 and the standard mount on the stand can be made to work without the clutch pack.

David,
Will the HF nasty stand hold my pumper?
With some adaption, or as is?
Without the clutch, right?

Thanx! Still feel like I'm flying blind on this weird watery engine.

YES, just like it was made for it! :!:

The problem with the 911’s case is the thin aluminum/magnesium rim. If not properly supported  I tried a VW engine yoke ($29 or less almost anywhere) and it looked like a broken case waiting to happen. Still use it for 356/912 & 914 engines though. Saw the “adapter ring” at Jim’s and it looked like a good compromise for the money. Still nothing like the 911 yoke for 911s :!:  2 of the VWs might be welded together for use with 911s :!: $60 sounds better than $300 or so.

Let me know if you want the ATV jack or anything else.
Don't know if it's worth the drive. Wish I could come!
