I'd appreciate any thoughts on who are the current 'go-to' indies in the southern-ish MD area, around DC on the MD side. I've combed through many older threads on the topic, but am wondering if things have changed in the years since.

My 718 is coming up on its annual service and I think I'm due for fresh oil, brake fluid, and spark plugs. While the car is still within warranty, the dealer pricing seems like a massive rip-off. Porsche Silver Spring quoted $760 just for an oil change, I didn't bother asking about anything else after hearing that.

I've put together a small list and have reached out to get quotes.

At Speed Motors - no response yet.
Auto Therapy - $1270 w/ standard brake fluid, $1300 w/ high temp.
Stuttgart Performance Engineering - no response.
TPC Racing - no response yet.
Induktion Motorsports - $880 w/ standard brake fluid.

Anyone else I should put on that list, or specifically bias towards? I didn't expect to see such a significant price difference between Auto Therapy and Induktion. While Induktion doesn't have the same volume of feedback vs Auto Therapy, I've pretty much only heard good things and am leaning towards trying them given the price.

On the other side of the bridge we have been using Rudy?s European in Lewes, DE.

Highly recommended

DIY with a Dorki?
Oil - comes out too fast so usually makes a bit of a mess unless full-height lift (last time I did it I held the hot drain plug in place at first and was much less messy)
Brake Fluid - couldn't be easier esp. on a newer car
Plugs - just did on my 981, and was much easier than I thought it would be. Assume even easier on 4-cylinder but need to check the web.

I have a half-height lift and am retired so willing to help.

I like the Bratters at AutoTherapy. I also like Matt De Maria at Stuttgart (lots of excellent experience with Matt, less with AutoTherapy).

My charge for the service would be you buying this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RR84RXB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&_encoding=UTF8&tag=718forum-sl-20&th=1 (I didn't need it for the 981 and MIGHT not need it for a 718).

I really appreciate the offer! I'm a complete novice when it comes to auto maintenance, but am certainly interested in learning. I'll send a DM to further discuss.

Actually not: 718 plugs are 14mm 12 pt and need a swivel socket or swivel extension in order to get to them. NOTE: Torque spec is also lower than its 6 cylinder relatives.

You need a nice torque wrench before attempting any of this, particularly the plugs.

BTW oil change on a PDK 718 with xenon/led headlights is a giant pain because the rear level sensor is in the way of extracting the oil filter :bang: and you need to move/remove it first.

Not to interrupt the thread too much (already DM'ing with the OP), but Jeff--is that 140 degrees F or C? I doubt you'd get a burn like that at only 140F...

Heh, it's 140F. But that's how I feel in the summer every time I grab the stick on my TT that has a big aluminum top. The aluminum transmits the heat quite nicely:
