Hey ya'll, I'm a new 1983 944 owner. I'm sure this has been discussed, but I've read different answers. Is it possible/probable a 1983 944 came from the factory without rubber seals underneath the windshield side trim pieces?

Good to see you here Marcus, I have no idea about the answer to your question. :)

I would guess that from the factory, rubber seals were present.. but if the windshield was replaced, bets are off.

y this, but check online for a factory manual to check for sure.

If it's what I'm thinking of, I recall they don't have them and it makes the windshield look really recessed into the car. A friend explained it was an aerodynamic thing and I think even similar vintage 928s had the same thing.

Just had a pinhole filled a few weeks ago in the 1981 924 and the tech confirmed that it is the original 44 year old glass.

The sides of the front windshield are recessed without a rubber seal.
