I am going to have to store my Cayman outdoor for a number of weeks, and wonder what car covers people feel are good for outdoor storage. I'll wash and dry the car to get dirt off prior to covering. Thanks in advance.

I used a covercraft (I think) Noah cover when I had to store my 914 and MB 280C (still miss that car) while the garage was being built. Worked well.

Cover for outdoor storage is always a debate.. some say use one (but that usually requires a clean car and a tight fitting cover to minimize paint damage). Others say, just put a good coat of wax on and leave it out. Unless its being used to deter rabble rousers/hoa, I would leave uncovered, but ideally not under a tree that is dropping leaves/sap etc. Maybe just drive it? ;)

I have a covercraft fitted cover for my 914, but I only use that in the garage.

Good point Dave, a ceramic coating would be good either way. As the cover in the wind will lead to some scratching, no matter what.

I have an AutoChic https://autochic.com/cover for my 987.2.

While it was not cheap, it fits perfectly and is exceptionally well made. They also provide excellent service and support. And, they advertise in the Panorama.
