This morning I had an opportunity to land on the front straight on Summit Point Main in my Pitts S1. Unfortunately after I landed it was apparent the track was completely overgrown. I taxied around the track, around T4 down the chute then into the carousel, rounding T7, into T8 and nicely apexing T9 but it kept getting worse until between T9-T10 the trees blocked the track completely. Not to worry, it was all in fun using Flight Simulator 2020. Surprisingly Summit Point is very well detailed from the air. Give it a shot if you're a flight simmer.

Maybe one day they'll actually let me land my RV8 there but I'm not counting on it.

There have been at least one PCA Potomac member landed on the front straight that I know of, Helicopters don't need no straights to land

An oldtimer PCA guy told me about a promotion in the 80s or 90s where some company landed a little plane on the front straight during an event's happy hour.

Supposedly whatever they were selling wasn't too popular.

I've taken off in a helicopter from the front straight of SP Main...I wouldn't recommend my path for getting to the helicopter

Understand that, I have only had one flight in the back of a medevac, many, many hours in front
