 Well it is with mixed emotions that I write this. Now that I have the brakes sorted out and have it running well, my car is sold! I took it for a spin the other night and I think it was because of the colder weather, but I even scared MYSELF!!! It got to 90-100 (not that I would ever do something like that, but it felt like it could!) like that (snapping fingers)!

I just received a cashier's check from the buyer. He will pick it up tonight or tomorrow. The good thing is that it is staying locally. I met him through good friends of ours and I think I will remain involved with the car. He is talking about changing the clutch out, so you hear that RL, there may be an engine drop in Charlottesville within the year! I'll have to let him know about this board and what a great group of guys is not that far away. Anyway, I have enjoyed meeting and hanging out with many of you. I may ride up there and see if I can ride shotgun with somebody, on occasion, for some of your infamous fun runs. That is, at least until there is another one to take it's place!

I have some parts left that are not going with the car, so I may list them in the parts section. I know there are a couple of turbos up there so if anyone is interested in a set of Euro headers, crossover pipe, and J pipe, let me know. $300 takes them including new gaskets (for headers), new hoses, and new hardware. I didn't get the chance/ba**s to put them on! I could bring them up to one of the upcoming engine parties. I'm sure there won't be a lack of those! That is, if I'll be allowed driving something other than a p-car! I'll still be lurking!

Sorry to hear that you sold your 930. Hopefully you will be back in a Porsche in no time(just make sure it's not a boxster ).

Clayton, what are you doing? I thought I was rereading Leland Pate's farewell to the Pelican BBS for a minute there. 993 prices are dropping every day and they won't give you 1/10 of the headaches your 930 did. Come back to the dark side, lest you live out your years driving a minivan and reminiscing about the days of old.

Trust me guys, I'll be back. Not sure which model, although I would love to get a 993, but it might be a little while. I'll stick this money in the bank for starting a slush fund for when the right one comes my way. I'll try to get some of the things checked off the honey do list and then once I can give the deserved attention to a pcar, again, I'll take the plunge! So, rest assured, I'll still be around!

Here is a picture of my car leaving with it's new owner Friday evening. Sorry it's so dark, but it gives a good perspective of the moment that way :)

It was a sad weekend! When I've been talking to some of my friends about it I just reassure them (and myself!) that there will be another!

Sorry to see it go. BTW, $300 for the headers, etc is a good price. I sold my late 930 US headers with plumbing and factory turbo for about $400 at a swap meet.
