Requires "Connect Plus" - does that mean 2012- and newer cars only?

It says any Cayman or Boxter plus some others.
Just found that Summit Point is not one of the tracks in the database so it will need to be set up manually.

"The Porsche Communication Management (PCM) version 4.0, as well as the equipment options Connect Plus and Sport Chrono Package are required to use the app."
I doubt your 2007 has PCM v4.0...

I've not been impressed with the performance of PCM3 or the GTS routes app. Let us know how it goes but I have my doubts about its functionality and easy of use. Harry's lap timer coupled with an external GPS and OBDII can provide enough data for most drivers. Good luck.

You need connect plus, since that adds a Wifi hotspot to the car. Then you connect your phone to the hotspot and the app can then connect to the PCM to interface for the app. When this was first introduced on the 991.1 GT3 it was an $1800 option. It's now included in the 991.2 GT3 as a standard feature. Looks like more models are coming.
"NEW: Now available for additional Porsche models
The new Porsche Track Precision app is available for all Boxster, Cayman and 911 models, as well as for all GT cars with model improvements from CW45/16. The Porsche Communication Management (PCM) version 4.0, as well as the equipment options Connect Plus and Sport Chrono Package are required to use the app."

Sounds cool. Maybe you can show me how to hook it up to one of mine?

Soon - I'm trying to get some more information on the strain relief piece which I'd rather not cut off. But will probably cut off one and try to pull the other through. Are you around (or at Summit) this weekend?

Hmm $70k+, you'll need a new car (current) to use the app. Smartycam is looking cheaper.

Well, if it deosn't work with my OBDII reader I'll just continue using my Garmin VIRB. Internal sensors with GPS and pulls all the car data from the OBDII by BT. WIFI to my phone for remote control.
