If anyone is looking for a local machine shop I highly recommend Allied in Falls Church. Apparently they have been there 25+ years and were recomended to me by Dulles International Motors.
They are located right behind Don Beyer Volvo on RT 7 / Main Street / W. Broad St. in the center of Falls Church and can be reached at 703/533-8355. The tools and equipment that they have in there is enough to make us DIY'ers wet our pants.
For $50 they removed my broken exhaust stud and put in a helicoil (sp ?). Turns out they also resurface flywheels for about $60 so I'll be making a trip back there next week once I remove mine.
Besides the regular machine shop work they said they have done lots of work on P-car's over the years and even had a stack of 2.7 heads laying on a shelf.
