Found a 95 325 convertible on craigslist. Car looks clean .5 speed manual has 102000 miles on it. Asking 3600 for it. Price seems high and was wondering what might be a good price. Also what I should look for on the car . Any info would be great.

Just as a reference. I purchased a very well maintained 94 sedan last year with 130 on the clock for 2600. It has proven to be largely maintenance and problem free. My daughter has been driving it for the past year. buying a 22 year old car you should be looking at the same things you would look at on any old car. If you aren't sure what those things are, get a pre purchase inspection done. It will help you negotiate the price and give you an idea what you may be in store for. Do you have any pictures you can post?

Then you can buy my 328 for a parts car! Just like rabbits.

I'll argue the opposite way. Been watching Jazz's thread on his E46 - makes me so glad I don't have my E36 or E39 anymore. I wouldn't buy that car unless an E36 convertible was my dream car and/or it had the perfect prior owner who's addressed all the broken old rubber and plastic throughout.

but couldn't the same be said of any 20+ (or any car without a warranty) year car...you go in knowing you are going to face some of these issues and be prepared to deal with them. If you are going to deal with them at the BMW dealership...run, don't walk away...but if you have the will to do more than just drive your car and put gas in it...then be a smart buyer and enjoy...I have issues on the cars I have, but they are fun and a pleasure to work on and drive..my 2 cents worth

Yep. If you want to work on a car, buy it.
