Was going up Route 15 North in MD looking for a nice ride this weekend just after crossing the Potomac, and discovered 478 West. This is a nice road with long open stretches, and great turns. Crossed a coupla rivers, and then ended in Bruswick, MD where I picked up 17 North through Burkittsville and a few other small towns.
Great ride, great roads - nobody but me on 'em Saturday. Anyone else discovered rural MD South of Hagerstown?? Sheshhhhh....

Dare we venture into...gulp...Maryland?
All seriousness aside, I think there's some as yet undiscovered country for us to explore. Thanks for blazing the trail, Keith.

Keith - how far up 15 from the Potomac was 478? I discovered 464 today (separate thread) which is the first major intersection after crossing the river.

Yeah what a moron...I got the Route # wrong. You're correct the road off of Rt-15N is in fact - 464.
If you took a good wide road with great pavement, hills like roller-coasters, and some wonderful turns with no people to be seen - THAT'S THE ONE!!
Great huh?
