Anyone know of an HVAC shop that will sell me a 60/7.5 MFD 370 VAC Run capacitor? The system spun up for the first time yesterday, but died a few hours later. I can't get any reading on the capacitor so I'm gonna replace that before the motor.
Anyone have a source that sells to the public in MD? Rockville is ideal!
Thanks!

What about Lyon Conklin, on Gude Drive?

We use Sunn Corp for our HVAC service at home and in DC. You can try contacting them, and tell them I referred.
Also, Mike Smalley of PCA Potomac DE fame, is an HVAC contractor, though I can't find a website for him, and don't have his phone.

I can get it for you in Tysons.
When you say reading are you using a cap tester or the cap test setting on a VOM? Does the cap top where the spade lugs are look bowed out like a beer can that froze?

Thanks for the responses. I had done the testing with my multimeter. The unit looked fine physically, but couldn't get it to take any juice at 1000uF. The multimeter doesn't allow me to fully test a capacitor, but it can tell me if one is just outright dead. Which it were...
I found the replacement in Frederick under by buddies contractor account, installed it and the fan and compressor spun right up. :D Just in time to deal with our first hot and humid day.
