View Full Version : Gasket for headers
I need to replace the gaskets between my headers and the rest of the exhaust system. This is a 38 mm opening (for 1-5/8 O.D. pipe) with 2 bolt-holes (one on each end). It is the same as the early Euro SC part, but I can't find the part number for that. Pelican lists this part (http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/smart/more_info.cgi?pn=901-111-193-00-M17&catalog_description=Muffler%20Gasket%20%28sold%20p er%20each%2C%20%32%20required%29%2C%20%39%31%31%20 %28%31%39%37%34%29%2C%20%20%39%31%31%20%28%31%39%3 7%35%2D%37%36%20CA%20Model%29%2C%20%20%39%31%31%20 %28%31%39%37%37%29%20) 901.111.193.00 for 1974-1977 cars (it looks the same in the photo, but no sizing available on the web site or over the phone) - is it the same? Anybody know the part number or a good source for these?
Thanks in advance.
Peter
I got mine from McMaster when I installed the M&K.
As in "McMaster-Carr?" Don't see any similar gaskets on their site. Can you help further, Rob?

Here's a link to a site with the Euro PET http://boardwalkporsche.com/Catalog-En/
looks like the part number 911 111 191 01 or 02 which interesting enough is the same number as the US version.
One uses "catalytic converter" and the other uses a "front muffler."
Thanks, Dave. The gaskets shown for the SC are totally different from the header gaskets. Perhaps someone else here who HAS or HAD these headers knows where they sourced them.

Do readers here know what "these headers" are????
Oops. I could have sworn I put "European Racing Headers, 1-5/8" OD" but I guess I didn't.

Rennsport and Stable Energies sell ERH. I'm sure they could help with gaskets.
It would be great if I could figure out if the ones P-Parts sells for the mid-years are the same... Stable Energies is looking into it for me, but they seem to only sell them as part of a kit. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks for the suggestion. You can if you bring one of your headers over here ahd held it up to my early heat exchanger. Or just buy one of the gaskets and try it
By the way how is it different? 3 bolt holes, right?
It would be different if the spacing of the bolt holes or the size of the opening were different. The opening is supposed to be 38 mm. I can measure the bolt hold spacing later.
