My best laps of the weekend occurred the last session on Friday. I found myself alone for a few minutes and managed consecutive 1:31 laps. Best yet is the data and it doesn't lie. I'm leaving a lot on the table! Regardless, a personal high point of the weekend.

For those that are curious, the video is shot with a Contour HD 1080.

Cheesus!X3!!! Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good :p
Was that with the skinny tyres or others??

Skinny tires, 195/65-R15. Same with the T3 event.

No, the spin was on RA1s. I switched to the others after that session.

In all seriousness, great job of just driving straight and not trying to immediately get back on track!

Thanks Mark. Maybe this is a teaching opportunity ;)
I spent all weekend at T3 doing the pass and tuck behind the car that went by. My speed and turn in point in this particular instance is basically the same as all the others. It's interesting to compare frames and see how that breathe of the throttle changed the car's trajectory.
Here's after turn in approaching the apex. Note car and steering wheel position (and that I hold the wheel tighter when I'm on another car's bumper)

And here's track out. Normally the car ends up on the curb, but not in the gravel :)

Not me I told mine I'd F'ed up by not holding it in tighter  And that you did a real good job in not tagging us.
Our perspectives might be different but I've looked at the vid plenty and don't see any hesitation after brake lights go off! Just couldn't hold inside when back end started to rotate some. Prolly should have waved it off when it took so long to get around you. That and the blown tyre were the high points of my event! OK, seeing L against the wall in T10 from my stu's car right where the red car got destroyed was a little disconcerting too!

It's a huge improvement that they opened up the area after the T3 gravel trap. There's much less risk in staying straight through. It's become a passing zone for Spec Miatas!
I used to dread the paint chips that I would get on my car from that gravel. Now I dread helmet/visor chips! The first time I took a chunk of gravel to the visor I almost crapped m'self. I totally regret buying a matte black helmet. It already looks like hell.
