First race on Saturday. Was working my way up through the field when a car spun in front of the car in front of me and he locked them up. I rear ended him and had to go in due to PCA rules. My best time was a 210.12.
Car felt great before the overheating crap started.

Great driving Scott I am sure you miss your old SC workouts :D, you seem very relax and calm.
Amazing how freaking fast WG.

The J class GT3 was holding you up big time and was motoring you in places. You must have been frustrated. I would have been. Then he goes and spins causing a traffic jam with you and Jeff Adams.
That was a hard hit. Your overheating problems started after the hit so I wonder if the a coolant line got crimped or caused something to obstruct the air flow to the radiators. I could be grasping at straws, but it seems too much of a coincidence.

That Sux. That turn use to scare the chite out of me, but I am feeling better about it these days. At least neither of you spun into the blue bushes as the result of contact.

This is normal when you start mid-pack. I had a number of cars that were faster in the straight, but slower in the turns resulting in about the same lap times. The only way to remedy this is to set them up coming out of the turns which I do not know how to do.
Oh yeh, you could get faster and start in front:D

Nice driving. The incident sux. But you recovered nicely. It was a hefty enough bump IMHO that may have done something to cause your overheating.

Are the rubber bellows that funnel air flow across the radiators still intact? These are the big rubber "scoops" that hide under the bumper cover... If cracked from the impact, they may not be directing the air flow like it should be.

Not knowing yet about the "troubles", when my wife showed up at the track she was greeted by these stalwart Dorkis protecting my pride. Thanks guys, your words of support (and humor) really helped. And despite the outcome, the family had great time.

Nice Video Scott.
You could see the #115 "X" rookie was in over his head early on. He was doing well but often stayed inside off the racing line ... causing problems and early appexing when he got to the corners.
I was watching the video and said, "Yup, #115 will the spinner".
After the vid ... I still think the radiators / lines were / are the cause of your overheating.
Nice pass (albeit little wide) at 2:40!
Looked like fun while it lasted...thanks for posting.

I would think for a rookie that track has really got to be quite a challenge and unsettling. Watching your eyes in the vid check the mirrors shows how much is constantly going on behind you.
Great driving Scott and like everyone else, sorry for the unfortunate bump and retirement.

Going up the esses three wide is a thrill ride.
Playing chicken at the bus stop is also interesting....:)
