Let me start by saying that I purchased my 911 sc out of Florida and the previous owner removed the heater blower, hoses, etc...
While researching to purchased all of the parts I saw a few other web postings on how to rig hoses to get some heat into the cabin. Any recomendations? Parts info? Etc... Any one wants to help???

You don't need the heater blower. All you need is some aeroduct and the shroud ducts. I backdated the heat in my '87 to get rid of the blower, and even in below-freezing temperatures, the cabin gets hot enough to cook an elephant.

Look in the WTS there's been a few 4 sale from parts cars.

Do you still have the front blower? Also, make sure the flapper boxes work.
I have all the parts in my garage from a Carrera, including the footwell blowers, rear blower (if you still want it), but the in-dash blower is still in the car. You interested?

The engine compartment heat setup is different in a SC vs. a Carrera. Not sure if the rear Carrera stuff would work.
I think I've got most of the SC parts if you can't find them in NoVa and if you decide not to backdate the heat. I'd love to somehow work out a trade for SC heat parts for Dr. K's stock rear engine lid!
Personally I'd backdate the heat. Much simpler system and makes it easier to work on the engine without the rear heat blower in place.

You may actually have everything you need already in the car...if you want to drive the car up to my place sometime in bristow we can take a quick look so you dont spend to much time trying to figure it out...its pretty simple once you see how it works...

Mark makes a good point. If these are gone then it's harder and more $$$ If there you should have some heat (if flapper is closed) even with out the fans. Plenty of pics of the associated gear on Pelican and the PET has great diagrams of the system. Now where did I see that link to the on line PET :?

I will defenitely take you up on your offer for your assistance. The car is still at the paint shop (going on 5 weeks) but that is OK. The owner David is a good friend and they do a supperb job. I know for sure that I need hot air in the car. I am not much of a cold/winter individual since I am from the tropics.
Anyway, here is my contact number in case you can call me to schedule a meet. I can come your way or if you are around the Woodbridge area we could meet somewhere else. What ever works for you. Hopefully the car will be finished no later than next week.
Thanks,
Glenn

FWIW I deleated the heat in the 78 sc. If Peter's parts don't work for you, these should.

I got heat! Went over to Tito's and he helped me figure out what I needed to get heat into the cabin without the heater blower. Reconnected heater hoses underneath, ensured both flapper boxes worked and crossed over one hose to a "T" and that's it. Probably a 2 hours job to include a trip to Home Depot for the rubber "T" .
Next Tito pointed out that I need to check all vacuum rubber hoses lines, and I need to install a "toilet seat" to prevent the air box to blow up due to the back-fire. All together was a great learning and hands on experience.
Many thanks to Tito for his time and assistance.
By the way, the car got pretty hot inside on the way home more so that I expected.

Glenn, you actually do have a blower...it is in front, where i was showing you. with the blower on, the car will get more air pushed into the car due to the blower helping to move it in. I learned something myself this weekend as well. My car has separate foot blowers as well so i have never used the front blower at the same time...but worked them on sunday after you left and get more air into the car. So...it isnt that you dont have a blower...your car at present is set up as originally designed...nice to meet you. nice looking car...a little work and the engine will run great...

Tiito,
Sounds great and thanks for your assistance.
Up comming projects:
1. pop up valve installation (airbox)
work on replacing vaccum lines. try to fix surging and rought performance, etc..
2. repair calipers (with the assistance of Vice)
3. install foot pedals bushings, springs, etc... maybe do the same with the shifter and clutch adjustment (new clutch cable) to improve shifting. etc
4. Continue to work in the interior cabin restoration.
