View Full Version : Packing Joints
Thinking one of these will make packing grease into my CV's a little less messy.

Possibly, but you can just use a grease gun the same way and save yourself the step of loading the syringe (from the back since you surely can't suck it in from the front). Plus, you still have to get all the old grease out so Im not so sure why you'd worry about getting messy at the penultimate step:) Wear gloves, its not too bad.
New axles ;) i may rebuild the old one. I have a larger pump I've used for the diff on my other car. The smaller syringe seemed like it would be easier to inject in between the races and just speed up the process.
Worked very well. Wasted less and was able to use more grease. It's still a dirty job but the syringe allows for better placement and less air pockets.
It was easy to load it too. Just push it from the packet into the syringe. I could load about half the syringe at a time.
