No, not for driving Flat Out but for the hitch :)

I current have a 2" ball installed.

Is there a preferred size to keep around or do you need a couple different popular sizes and why?

Tire trailers use smaller trailer balls (2" or so) but it turns out that car trailers and such use stockier ones (2-5/16 for my Dively Econo Trailer).

It depends on her breast size. How big are they? Can't tell from this.

I've encountered several different sizes:

Trailex open aluminum trailer: 2"
Steel and wood (older) open car trailer: 2 5/16"
Enclosed trailer: 2 5/16"
5 x 8 Garden trailer: 1 7/8"
Tire trailer: 1 7/8"

FWIW, I think its a good idea to have all 3 sizes (1 7/8", 2", & 2 5/16") on-hand. I have a couple of ball mounts with different drops to accommodate different trailers (I can easily move the balls between ball mounts). I even attach the 1 7/8" ball to my lawn tractor to move the garden trailer around the yard.

(I can easily move the balls between ball mounts).Perhaps I'm remembering wrong, but I did it just a month ago. Reese ball on e-Trailer drop recommended torque was >300 ft-lbs.

If you have 2 5/16" balls you should certainly have a big enough tool to get them off

I've never tightened them that much. And I don't recall ever having one actually come loose. Plus most of the trailer balls I've used also included a lock washer under the nut, which must help.
