Sump cover for GT3 oil pump in an early case

This may be a long shot but does anyone here have experience with GT3 oil pumps in early(7r 2.7l) 911 cases? Specifically, I am looking for info on which sump cover to use. The wire mesh built into the GT3 oil pump actually sticks out below the engine case and a stock cover (with drain plug) just will not fit. It would appear that a cover without the drain plug may be a closer fit but still not perfect. Any ideas? I may have to fabricate something to get my father through this weekend but I’m looking for a “correct” solution.
