Oxymoronic, isn't it? I want to do it myself, with the help of others.
Anyone with experience in replacing rotors and rear brake pads, and bleeding the brake lines, would be welcomed in my garage some convenient time in the next few weeks.
Any advice on where to get the rotors and pads? Can someone bring a power bleeder?
Here's some DIY guidance I found on p-car.com: http://p-car.com/diy/brakepads/
Thanks

You've got everything you need in that link you posted. For moral support ... I'm sure there are some Dorkis that will come over to drink your beer and eat your pizza if you need that....

For vendors, try Paul Weston at http://westonmotorsports.com/ or Mark Francis at http://www.cdoc.com/

I use the guys at Sunset Porsche in Oregon for my rotors. If you need let me know :)

 Why not bring the car over to tech next weekend and we can walk you through it. Maybe even get one or more ends done! I can bring my power bleeder if you want.

Good idea David. Thanks. I'll check this site for location and time of the tech session and let you know if I can make it.
PS: I'm glad you dropped that "Albino" avatar. It was way too freaky for public consumption!

I may attend the tech session at Autobahn this weekend to bleed the brakes. Will wait for summer tech session at HBL to replace rotors. No rush re rotors. While they have a lip, the car stops well and just passed VA inspection this afternoon.

Come on Rick, you know you want to. Everyone's counting on you. You gotta do it. Does this peer pressure thing really work?
