Just stopped by "Linton Motor Sports" in Manassas at took a look at a 1979 911SC. 87K orig miles with a fresh rebuild. Nice looking US spec car. Can't remember where the owner said the car was rebuilt, somewhere in Fairfax.

I brought in my wife's audi TT for a quick touch-up on the door. The owner "Jaime" got a great body guy and the work is outstanding. While I was waiting I took a look at the Porsche which he is asking $22k (not sure if he is firm on the price).

Car started right up and let it run for about 20 min's. Engine sounded great and oil pressure as I expected (engine was just rebuilt). I don't work for "Linton MotorSport" and don't receive any kickback, just letting the community know that the car is worth seeing.

Things that I noticed:

- Small oil leak coming from the rear oil line (at one of the connectors not a big issue)
- Stock valve covers (not turbo)
- Interior in very good shape
- Studs replaced as part of the rebuild
- Euro height
- Stock 3.0 engine
- After market muffler
- A/C (not sure if it's working)
- Sunroof

No ax either but "$10K engine out service" is likely 2 brocken head studs and a clutch. Luv the color :) $22K is certainly dealer "pricing"

The car did have a broken head stud when they bought it. I put new/used bilsteins and new rear sway bar bushings and links about a month ago. They didn't like our price to drop the motor and do the studs, so they had someone do it "on the side". It has had a repaint, but not a bad looking car. The Bursh muffler was put on when they had the engine out. Jaime is the sales manager, not the owner FYI. 22K is retail plus 20% for this car I think.

Scott Linton is the owner. He has an '84 and a '73. I thought he was thinking about keeping the green '79. Must have changed his mind.
