I put it that way as I can't find the one for the '82. I have found minuscule bolts that I have already replaced but not this one pound wonder. SO, does anyone have one from a carb or mega-squirt swap?

Does it work, to the best of your knowledge ;) ? Won't need it immediately but I'm almost done with it (in other words putting the tranny list together!!)
Thanks!!

does it work??? all i know is the following:
when i attached a 12-volt power source to it the little door inside closed
when i cooled it off the little door opened again
i can't guarantee it will work for you
and i can't guarantee the rest of your system is free of unmetered air leaks or faulty wiring

Thanks. That was the reason for the ; ;). I know it's hard to be sure. Heck, mine worked whan removed but if (and that is a big if now) I find mine, it may not.
Now as to the faulty wiring.......

does this mean you want it or not?
or were you just fishing in case someday in the future you decide maybe you possibly would consider liking to explore closing this transaction

you're such a tease. i never heard of an aux air regulator on a 911 motor. do you mean warm up regulator? i have heard of an aux air regulator on a typeIV motor.

Now Jim if you are going to start correcting everyone elses terminology you will have to start calling your 914 a Volkswagon...............

*warm up* regulator regulates fuel control pressure and not airflow so i was thinking he was referring to the aux air valve that bolts to the case and has a thermal switch to open and close it.
but was he just teasing?????

Thanks Jase. Dead on. I need the regulator, not the valve and Cliff described its functioning properly.

Cliff, I hope to be ready soon and if I don't find it shortly, I will be wanting to close the transaction. I guess I'm simply planning ahead. Spent a couple of hours looking in the likely locations with no luck.
Hey Cliff, I'll take it for $75. I've got cash and ready to close the deal!

ok if you want it, done.
looks like mark isn't serious enuf to pull the trigger and seems to be trolling pelican for a better offer anyway. id rather make a decision and move on rather than hemming and hawing over small potatos and being left hanging as somebody's reserve while they're out shopping for something they'd rather have.
mark, s'ok, you can always find another one, there's so many of them out there. well, maybe not one that's been properly stored in a ziploc with a no-moisture pack the way mine has (cuz these things corrode internally and stop working in the blink of an eye if not used frequently), but there's a lot of used ones sitting in old parts piles. maybe you'll luck out.

Cliff, I posted on Pelican first. And since when is putting out a WTB in more than one local trolling?
I thought I was upfront with the "may need" but what do I know?

not correcting, just showing my 911 ignorance..... and knowing mark recently got a 914, i thought maybe he was looking for a 914 AAR. heck, everybody already knows a 914 is NARP

it's ok no problem just in time delivery works best for you
no reason for me to sit on this one when kirk wants in now and you don't
again there will always be another one when/if you're ready to buy
or you could just bypass it or buy a new one

Mark, aren't your parts cars equipped with this piece?

Cliff, you are welcome to sell to whomever you wish. I was simply responding to your comments. If I buy it before I need it, I may loose that one too ;)
FWIW, what is the difference between the different part # AARs? (I may have more than one SC but neither is a parts car)
