thanks to some BIG help from sdubovsky yesterday I am well underway on a suspension upgrade on my 930. Is there anyone near Catonsville (Baltimore) with the tool needed to separate the tie rod ball joint from the front strut arm? Wailing on it with a hammer didn't work.

Are you replacing the ball joint? if you don't care about the boot I have a pickle fork that should work but I'm in Falls Church and you can probably get one at your FLAPS for about $20 or so. If you need the press type tool (don't want to damage the boot) I don't have that... actually been meaning to buy one.

Heat the eye to gooten hot and give it one goot strong hit with a 16 oz or better hammer right on the eye end, not the tie rod end Have not had one pop using this method yet.

Sorry, should've posted. Problem solved! :) I just sent the strut w/ the tie rod end still on it to Rebel Racing, Clint said he has the tool and he'll pop it off before the rebuild.
