What I thought amazing was that by 1971 you could already get FIBERGLASS flares. I would have thought at that time, they 1)would be too new for glass and 2) that it would have been shitty, heavy glass. Plus, I thought, the factory was using Steel flares for the 471 package.. not glass. Perhaps false assumptions, but they were made nonetheless. I think this car was for sale before. Can't remember where I saw it though...

I would love to see the shots large enough to get some detail. It looks like a fun car though.

Racer, I think youre dead on. 471 pkg was steel flares. Pics are too crappy to tell if its a nice car or not. Me thinks its really just like any other 6 w/ some glass bits = Probably worth less than an orig.

If I remember correctly, about 6-8 mos ago the owner was in the 22-24k range. I have seen pictures of the car larger & closer up. It looks like it is a nice car and the stickers are removable. I just can't remember where I had seen the car to attach the link. I know this much, it wasn't e-bay, it was one of those "historic or classic racecar" for sale websites.
Dave, when I saw this on ebay a couple of days ago, I though it was right down your alley except it was headed out of what you indicated was your price range. Hope the car search is promising.

Smart seller, small pics so us 914 guys can't rip it apart too much.
I do agree, this is just a car that has some f'glass parts slapped on it, I'd rather have a real all-steel car personally (never been a fan of the 916-look).
