Ok I picked this thing up for my daughter and she has issues with the manual trans. Te car is in very good shape and only needs tires and a little sheetmetal work.
200 on the clock, 2.3l and runs great.
I have $600 in the car.
Surly somebody can use a tank.
Thinking of using it for the 24hours of lemons

I have an even better plan if I keep it. A set of Co-Op spurgrip tires, and whamo, instant snowmobile.

Does this count as another one your daughter "droved" :? Is this # 3 or #4 for her (this year)? Good thing U-gus didn't have more kids :p you'd never be a ble to retire!

So true. The Volvo 240's and the M-B W123 240/300 Diesels are will be what _____ finds 10,000 years from now.

Plus I think they can both survive an EMP, so you know if Goldeneye ever happens in the US, you can keep driving.

Good luck with the sale Rick!

No the sheet metal work I refered to is refering to the couple of small holes in the floor pan. A license plate and some poprivits will cure it.
The daughter is holding at a 2 count.

If she has trouble with the 5 speed, maybe she'll never get it going fast enough to wreck it.

With that logic,I gotta ask, I'm out a BMW why?

Forgot that was a 5speed.

Actually it should be a 4spd w/push button overdrive. Is it a 2 or a 4 door and do you have any pictures?

You've obviously never driven a 240...it's just not capable of "fast", whichever transmission it has. Assuming it's a coupe, it weighs 4030 lbs with 114 hp - that's a lb to hp ratio of 35 :p

Edit: oops, that was GVW. Curb weight is around 3000, so a ratio of 26.3.

4 speed with a push button..........ding-ding-ding we have a winner. It is a beige (with blue hood, don't know why) 4 door.
I will grab a few pics tomorrow, it's too dark outside right now. Well maby that might be better.:)

What about a Jeep Cherokee? Pretty stout, can't kill the, aren't speed demons, can haul loads of stuff (if she is in or on her way to college) and can be had for cheap money.

...and she won't drive it too much because she won't be able to afford the gas.

I also think she had "issues" with the 4 speed because it was beige with a blue hood. I mean my bad, what kid doesn't want a beige and blue Volvo tank? I mean I know if I were younger and needed a car to pick up chicks a two tone Volvo would be the hotness....

I don't think she is trolling for chicks.
She has another car to drive, because of the good nature of a fellow Dorki.

I didn't mean it that way. Not that there is anything wrong with that. I didn't want to put trolling for guys and everybody give me the curious look.
