We shall see. I've seen this car in my neighborhood. It started out, asking 19, then 18, then 17, now this....

I'm surprised it lasted this long with the "rare white rims".

I was going to say those Fuchs look beat to crap.
I just saw this car about a half hour ago while I was out walking the dog. It looked good from 70 feet away or however far I was. And it was obviously running and moving under its own power, so that's a plus.

I don't know.. I figure these cars are only 1 step up from a "mid-year" ;) Clearly either something is not right (serviced by Currys :0 ) or he really needs the cash for something else. Like.. Pay off his HELOC or refinance his interest only sub-prime mortgage...

Pay off his HELOC or refinance his interest only sub-prime mortgage...Dave
And sadly, that may very well be true.

"Honey I'm gonna take this car out for a test run--be back in a bit"
"Ok babe--I'll check out this Gucci purse and assorted estate jewelry while your out doing Italian cleaners"
Sound of keys jingling and opening thefront door-a woman enters and she is startled by the woman pawing her jewelry.

I emailed the guy last night. Claims to have had a "recent" clutch job. He says he likes to "keep up on the maintenance".. Just sharing.
So.. 1989... G50, Good interior, Recent clutch, 110K miles.. $14,8? seems like it could be a nice bargain. Wonder how a leakdown would fare? ;)
Hmmmm...

PS: Note new user name!!! Thanks, Jazz :D

Before getting too excided about this one (which you should go look at BTW) There was a fully prepared Carrera 4-sale at SP over the week end. White, don’t know the year, #500, belongs to Joe (something), ~$20K. He’s an instructor and always seems to run very well. Think about that one too?

Luckily for me, I don't have to worry about buying anything until the Boxster sells.

Jim Coffman, and it's silver if that's the one you're thinking of. Anybody know how to contact him? The car seemed a little high in price for me.

I believe DR was talking about the off white (Chiffon? - same color as Jazz's), and I believe he was asking ~20K for it.

No it's Joe B. from PA. White '87 coup #500. Lot's of goodies and if the price is $20K, and the PPI checked out it would be a nice DE car with all the stuff.

SO, this post is kinda old, and this also happens to be my first post here, but I thought this was appropriate, I bought this car, it's in really great condition, the Fuchs are fine, just impossible to keep clean. Now before you ask, no I didn't get a PPI, and yes, I really should have, but this was too good a price to pass up, I watched it on craigslist as the price dropped by thousands of dollars over a few months, and I just had to. That being said, I still have $6k put away in case it needs anything, and I do all of my own work. I also have back up cars, so I'm not too worried about it, if nothing else the price as a steal. Anyway, nice to meet you all, I hope to see you soon.

Welcome,
Don't worry about the PPI thing, some of lifes best adventures are started by jumping in. blind, with both feet.

Good for you. If you can do your own work on it then you have me beat. That is what Rick V is for. Best damn 911 guy you will meet. You should have Rick come up and give you a post purchase PPI to see where you stand.

Twis the Fall sell season. Both Joe and Jim were trying to sell their cars at the Aug SP event. Joe "Cupcake" B bought a Cup car.......and yes, his white Carrea is nicely set up.
Jim's car was also listed as for sale.
PM me if you want their contact info.
BTW Bruce Dodds also has a very nicely set up '86 (I believe) for sale//////like I said, twis the season.

I may have to have a post-purchase pre-purchase inspection haha. I'll post pictures in the introduction forum, I have a feeling this isn't the best place for this.

took this while I was on the test drive, this is where I stopped to inspect it. Real professional huh?

Here it is, at the same spot, with my girlfriend... she likes it almost as much as I do. And thankfully she hasn't asked which I like better, something tells me I will probably hesitate just a bit too long.

Here it is at the guys house who I bought it from, it's with my brother's Mustang GT

Here it is after I took it home and went on a drive in Bethesda, once again with my brother's Mustang, and my brother and his friend. Since he got the Mustang he keeps a cowboy hat, and a Duke's Of Hazzard shirt in the car at all times...
Anyway, hope to see you all at the next get together.
Hogan,
Looks nice. The car looks good, too.
