I need a tiny bit of POR15 and would rather not have it shipped over. Any place to buy it locally?

I don't know of any local places that stock it but I have not looked. There has to be some paint or auto shop arond the area that sells it. i might start by calling a Mattos (sp?) automotive paint shop and asking. I don't thi they sell it but might know where to get it. I have most of a gallon and you can have some if you can't find any.

I'm not familiar with POR15, so did a quick Google search. Seems like its a tightly controlled network of dealers, with only certain states are in the loop.
Although I didn't see DC, MD or VA in any of the dealer network websites, I did happen to come across the following. I don't know if this is current or valid:
Por 15 Dealer Catonsville (http://oil-lube-in-catonsville-md.yellowpagesltd.com/#)
12 Maple Ave Catonsville, MD 21228
410 - 788 - 9411
You probably need to try calling, the link only takes you to a listing of dealers, not a specific website.

FWIW, POR is in NJ and ships the same say. There's a better than average chance that if you ordered right now, it'd be on your door tomorrow.

spend time in car. in traffic. look for the place. look for parking. unless you need it *rightnow* what's the point? don't like intrawebs? call'em. you'll have it before the weekend w/o exerting yourself...

Thanks all and thanks for the offer for a portion of your gallon. I called and ordered from the Maryland distributor, I think a different person than listed. Person listed never picked up 1-800-582-3737 is a Maryland distributor.
I ordered 4 ounces of the paint in semi gloss black. I have an incredibly rust free SWB but I do have a couple areas where the trunk seal sits that had water pool up in it. So I am in the process of wire brushing out the seam (seal across the top of the hood) and then I will POR15 it. Then I also bought their metal epoxy so as to be able to fill any imperfections after I POR15 it. Then I can sand and go back over the epoxy with another coat of POR15 and it should be good for life.
A testament to POR15 quality. A friend painted a rusty door with it about 6 years ago. Left it out to dry and then ended up just leaving it out forever. It turned into an outdoor table. 6 years later it is still as smooth as when he put it on and no rust. This stuff is ridiculous. Apparently if you have really bad surface conditions you buy the silver colored stuff and it has metallic particles in it to seal things up.
