List,
I'm looking for input either for or against my tire choices for my 80 911 SC Targa. I'm replacing a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE750s in 16" 205/55/16 F and 225/50/16 R that are about 5 years old. I did 4 autocross events last year and plan about the same use this year. I will drive this car regularly during spring and fall so its a combo of street use, some autocross and possibly 1 HPDC or DE.
After some research here and on Pelican, I looked at and have pretty much ruled out Yoko AVS and Kuhmo Ecsta MX as these had enough negative comments in certain areas and they just don't seem the right tire for me. I"ve boiled down my options to two choices:
1. Stay with the Bridgestone RE750s
2. Toyo T1R
I"m not planning on a trek to Radial Tire as I just don't have time for that. I am planning on internet ordering and having the tires drop shipped to a shop for installation or potentially looking into our local Tirevan guy.
Any for or against 1, 2, or some other recommendation? All input welcome.
Thanks in advance,
Rich
