View Full Version : Loaner Drill at VIR?
I just bought a pair of 993 air deflectors to zip-tie to my '86 Carrera, and was planning on doing that at VIR. Is anyone bringing a drill so I can drill holes in them (for the zip-ties)? My cordless drill's a joke and probably wouldn't make it through 8 holes. I'd drill them at home but (1) not sure where to put the holes, and (2) not even sure which is the top edge (yeah, I know... but I thought I'd amuse you guys...I wish I was a better driver--er, I mean, had a faster car--so I could add "before I wipe your arses on the track" but we know thats not gonna happen).

Got you covered. Also got the trick of using two small band clamps to set tension. you tighten the band clamps enough that the plastic does not move from air but folds up and self protects when you go off. Bring two band clamps that would fit around your thumb but not much more. Be sure they have threads all the way down the strap and can be sized down to finger size. (Not what your finger "feels" like when at work, actual size) ;)

One time at band clamp....

Do I need the special "indented" ones or can I pick them up at Home Depot or Advance Auto?
