Default 1976 912e

Hey all,

I have had my fun, done a couple projects, taken a few drives but more than anything I have proved to my wife that having a classic car is doable on a teachers budget. And once we move into a house with a three car garage I will have my day!!!!

Won't bore you with details unless you are interested. Car is solid. No substantial rust. I have pictures when car was in bare metal in 2004. Respray was not high quality and would need to be redone pass the 5ft test but at 10ft it is okay. Orig. choc. with cork interior, now red.

Runs well. Odometer stopped at 140k but was rebuilt at 90 or so. Does have dual webers instead of FI which is good or bad depending on preference. Car has sunroof and air (nice rare combo) but air has been disconnected because I hated the under dash pieces. Got a dorki deal on standard dash pads. Look much better!!!! (Will make good on that deal when car is sold) Seats need to be redone. Right HEat exchanger needs patching.

All in all I would say it is in fair condition. My plan is to put it on eBay next week after a couple of little items like replacing antenna. But I thought I would post here to see if anyone local is interested. I have an eBay figure in mind what it will go for 12-14k and I am willing to cut a dorki deal off that.. Any one here gets it for $10,500. What goes around comes around. But I want it to go to a good home where someone can have some room to invest into the car as they ride this classic Porsche value wave.

More pics on request....

Nothing major... I will look closely and let you know but that is not why it has a bra... I just always liked that look. I replaced the emblum. Like i said. Paint has its flaws and someone could spend the money on a nice paint job. There are no major colission spots.

Son-of-a... I want a 76 912E so bad to park next to the 911. But we just bought a house and all car purchases are on hold. And an extra son-of-a, because the the original color is brown and I really like the 70's brown color. Frick Frick Frick.

Good luck with the sale. Not that I want you to sell it, but in addition to ebay you might want to put it on thesamba.com. There is an Porsche 911/912 section and most I've seen move pretty quick over there.
