I had postted the question on the profesional forum but started thinking I might be able to get more response here. After being apart for ever, the car is finally back in one piece except for some wires going to the plug by the cam gear. I think this is what the manual calls the Hallgeber. Since my car is an 88 I looked at the 87 wire diagrams in my factory manual. The diagram identifies the three wires as SW (black), GN (green), and RT (red). Only problem is the wire harness on my car is made up of a braided shield, white, and brown wires. The shield is still connected to the pin in the plug, but the white and brown have been pulled from their pins. Where the wires go to the DME I'm not sure if reversing will have an impact. I would greatly appreciate some help fixing this last problem (I hope) so I can get it running this week end. Thanks,

Did you look for the manual on the link in Trak Ratt's signature? The right year should help...

Thanks, I dont know why my manual didn't have 88 in it. Checked it out and for some reason the color codes are still not matching up but it did give me a way to figure it out. Come to find out one of the wires goes to the test plug as well so that should let me identify which is which.
Thanks for help, |
