Default Engine hoist and stand

Probably should have put this with the vr6 adapter.

From the fine folks at horrible freight comes this engine stand, hoist, and tilter. No guarantee how long they'll work, but so far only a few small parts have fallen off the tilter.

$100 for dorki, pickup in Purcellville.

Because there are no wires, these are pretty good tools. I've used the same hoist multiple times (I don't own it--borrowed from another Dorki) and would take these off your hands if I had a bigger garage. Someone should buy this, preferably someone who lives close to me (Jerome?).

BTW, do you have a yoke for that engine stand?

I'd love to buy the engine hoist and tilter, but already have two engine stands. Would you be willing to sell them separately? PM sent.

Thanks!

I have the yoke, but - cut off the pipe to use as a spacer for the 911 yoke, then welded it back on to do the Volvo motor, then cut it off again to use as a spacer for the VR6 yoke. You can see the bits on the bottom of the stand.

So it's kinda DIY.

Hoist and tilter are sold, I'm going to convert the engine stand into a tool stand. Thanks!

FWIW, the only thing that sometimes goes bad on the hoist is the hydraulic cylinder, and its easily replaceable and/or upgradable.
