Yep, weather was perfect for you guys this weekend. It was great to see everyone again. Although I wasn't driving, VIR is always great.

Special thanks to Kurt for letting me borrow his LM-1!!

That was pure compressed fun. 4.5 Deg = flat out up the esses but brick wall on the straights. 0.0 deg = Pucker Factor 2.5 deg = n.i.c.e.

It was a fantastic weekend! Ben got a ride down from Cleveland in Mark H's new (to him) GT3 and Ben drove very well. There were a few promotions - will let them post. At least one special visitor (thanks for coming by, Donnie, and I didn't mean "special" as in "special ed"), and near-perfect weather. I got to run 2 sessions with my namesake, and it is just a blast running a session at speed trading off the lead with a similar speed car. Learned Pete's line through the roller coaster and I do believe it's faster (haven't looked at the data yet). The car did really, really well despite a huge hole in the muffler by the end of the first day (I thought it couldn't get any bigger over the course of the weekend, but it certainly did!).

I'd like to thank all the Dorkis who encouraged me to get a coupe, build a race car, do things this or that way (whether I followed your advice or not), and especially who helped me with this build--Scott and his buddies down in Richmond, Jerome and TR for towing my car back and forth to Richmond, Andrew for coming over VERY frequently to help (it got to the point that my wife would ask if Andrew was coming over for dinner), Hoophead (for "helping" me rebuild my transmission), Bill M (wiring guru), Vicegrip, OldTee, TR, Dubovsky, Fritz, Jazz, Ben K, and the others whom I've forgotten to mention and will never speak to me again. I got parts from many of you, but especially Ed N (the original owner of the car) who thankfully converted his current car to coil overs and sold me his T-bars and custom Bilsteins. Pros included Matt, Charley Murphy, and Steve Weiner (Rennsport Systems - lots of advice along the way).

I also want to thank VaSteve, Trak Ratt, Michael S, and my namesake for giving me incentive to build a faster car!
