Default Any local MD/DC metro shops that can get older Porsche shops?

You guys have any luck getting parts at a local shop? I hate ordering some parts online when I can just get it in a store. Currently looking for some SWB spring plate bushings and would rather order them locally. Any hope in that or wishful thinking? I know carquest cannot get them through worldpac even though worldpac has been able to get tons of the things I need.

I've gotten WorldPac stuff through a local shop before (non p-car shop, though). Call the usual suspects and ask (RPM, ASG, Intersport, etc.)

OP wanted MD or DC.. Not NOVA

Nowadays, seems no one "stores" parts hoping to sell them someday.. especially parts for a 40 year old car.

I understand the gratification of buying and picking up a part from a local store.. but those days are only getting farther away.

I end up ordering most of my parts online or thru message boards for the rarer stuff (ie, 914 boards when I owned one of them )

I'm ok with a shop being able to order the parts even but seems like I can only really get them from pelican. The part numbers mean nothing to world pac.

Classic Car Parts In Baltimore MD is good. They have a 24 hour turnaround on some parts (U call them with pn# they get part, u pick up).

Not the 'cheapest' but they are ok. They also have an Ebay Store, but their Brick/mortar shop is in Bmore.

# is 410-877-7990
