I think any of the above would work. I am trying to pull the wiper arms off my 2007 Trailblazer to figure out why the driver wiper fluid nozzle will not jet? Looking for someone in the Ashburn/Leesburg/Herndon/Sterling vicinity.
Thanks, Steve

If it is similar to my Chevy Suburban's, and other assorted vehicles I've encountered, the trick is to raise the wiper off of the glass. The arm should simply slide onto the splined shaft coming out of cowel. When the blade is against the glass, the spring in the wiper arm exerts enough pressure on the fitting to make it virtually impossible to remove. Raise the blade off the glass, and you should be able to rock it back and forth enough to loosen off the splined shaft.

I may have to give that whirl when I get home this evening. I sounds so simple it just may work.

No go. I called the Sterling dealership and asked them if there was a "trick" to it and they said, "nope, it should pull right off." I inquired if the blade had to be off the glass to relieve any tension and again, "nope." I shot it with some WD so we shall see.

FWIW, I picked up a puller from AdvanceAuto, and to be honest, I could not have removed the arm without it. There wasn't any tension applied with the blade on or off the windshield, but I did learn what the breaking point of the underside of the nozzle is and what the bill would cost me to repair. Fortunately it was a relatively inexpensive lesson.
