What do you mean "were"? I still am . . . Of all my many sins, I never had a mullet. I can't stand the feeling of long hair on the back of my neck, so I was never tempted by the strange allure that is the mullet

I don't know about the Mullet, but I've heard long hair is coming back, though probably not for me either; I used to get the weirdest looks from judges and opposing counsel when I had hair half-way down my back.

Anyway, I'll be there in blue. Hopefully with a new C2 oil cooler under the right front fender.

It will be my 2nd,3rd and 4th Green Day!
Dropped the engine today. Replacing transmission input shaft seal.
I was leaking just a small drop untill my last run on Sunday. I'm wondering how much swepco expands when it gets really hot!
Anyone replace this seal? It's hard to tell how far it is really supposed to go in the
guide tube. I don't know if it was caused during removal, but the little spring that goes arround the lip was partially off. I'm wondering if the seal was seated in the right spot?
See you all there!

"Trackarita's" -- that's the drink where they substitute ethylene glycol for tequila?

In lieu of an umbrella, each drink is served with a Black Flag on a toothpick! ;)

And it is far better than greasing up a track and smoking the back tires off.

You could always combine both!

When I was young and stupid (all right, younger and stupider), a group of about six of my friends and I would go to a cart track after we had been drinking a little (kids, don't try this at home) and we would sneak in baby powder. (What can you expect when you keep the cart track open on Friday and Saturday nights until 3:00 am in a college town) We used to spread the baby powder at strategic points at the track, and then watch the mayhem as lightly inebriated drivers hit the white powder that mysteriously kept showing up on the track. It was pretty funny and, unbelievably, none of us were ever injured, although we were kicked out of the track various times

I thought the same thing until recently. On that occassion I passed pit out and the flagger was frantically waving the black flag. I gave him a thumbs up. On the very next lap I passed pit out and the flagger thru the flag at me!
We really need kinder, gentler flaggers. :)

And Todd, I have to say you are a selfish SOB. I can't believe you haven't gone out and bought a car hauler so you can bring both your Porsches to the track in case anyone needs a spare. The nerve of some people.

IMHO PCA is a car club. The Dorki is/are not a car club. (in the key of Alice’s restaurant) We are a movement...;)

yeah, it's definitely not easy to get into your car, especially w/ the full NASCRAP bars you got... makes my ingress feel like a breeze... I *did* have to make a few sacrificial cuts though.... it was the one thing the PO didn't want me to do to the car, so now I'm kinda avoiding him, but wish I could give him updates that his baby is being "used properly" and fed a steady diet of technical bling...

You'll have to come and take a trial fit in my car over the weekend. Only stipulation is that you get that KY off your hands before touching my car, OK?

No issues with the door bars in mine, and that with the Kirkey De Road Race seat, which is very wide. Its strong and comfortable. We should measure yours, and then it should be clear where mine is bigger.

I have the same seat you have, so mine is as big as yours. ;) You know, now that you mention it, I have never measured because I have never been insecure in the size department ;)

My bars are a problem because they are too far in. There are about 2-3" between the outside of the bar and the door (with the panel but without the door grip). I may take Kurt up on his offer to help rebuild this side of the cage.

If you can fit into the tub you are ready to try on Bill Jay's 914. I told Bill that if he has to get out fast he can just take the targa top off and climb. "I am not going to compromise the rigidity of the structure just so he can get in or out"

From what I remember (it's been soooo long) my 914 is "interesting" to get in and out of. I've only fallen on my face onc..twi...several times. I'm with Kurt on the targa top thing. It's just not going to be quick. The removable steering wheel is a HUGE help.

All this talk of Todd and the ky jelly...I'm not so sure I want to ride with him this weekend. It's making Gary nervous.;)

BTW It's official. Frozen trackaritas at Summit Motorsports Friday happy hour. Since it's after hours they're using real tequila instead of that stuff in a pump. Come on out and see what Summit Motorsports is doing. If you're looking for car/trailer storage they have a solution for you. (Not a paid announcement. I only get trackaritas like the rest of you.)
