Finally got time to post the video we shot from the chase car as the CGT ran its first laps in the Blue run group.

Art Parsons was riding with me [its his head, OK?], and we were both worried that John would get on the CGT 'hand of god' brakes, and have us wadded up into the carbon fiber bits at the back of the CGT. So, we were cautious.

Tried to keep my car quiet so that some of the the magnificent sound of that V10 would be picked up on the soundtrack. If you listen carefully, you can hear the wail as she pulls away.

The video is HERE (http://www.trackvision.net/videos/CGT_at_Potomac_PCA_DE_May2005.wmv) Its definitely broadband only.

And here's a pic of this stunning car at the Potomac event:

Great perspective on the potential of the CGT. I followed him the second or third run, he had learned the line a little better and was starting to pick it up. Imagine trying to follow that car with a more advanced driver.

The CGT was driven by John Baker, a New York investment banker.

Tony,

Thanks for posting the video. I love that car. Seeing it on the track from T10 was amazing.

I have a finance degree, I wonder if Mr. Baker would like to give me a job :) .

They are not toys. They are serious expressions of the software engineering art form. Every line of code a mathematical miracle, every pixel of video its ultimate expression. So stop callin 'em toys before I come over and hack your XBox. :)
